All the hits missing from the first volume, 2005-05-12
Gary Morris was one of the finest pop-country singers of the mid-eighties. His music has a definite country flavor but most of it will not appeal to those traditionalists who only like traditional country. He did record one acoustic album, represented here by Honeycomb, Don't look back and Plain brown wrapper, but that album was not like any of his other music. Those tracks should appeal to traditionalists without alienating Gary's pop-country fans.

br /Gary's first hits albums ignored his duets but they can be found here - one with Lynn Anderson (You're welcome to tonight) and two with Crystal Gayle (Making up for lost time, Another world).
br /
br /Why lady why, Second hand heart, Between two fires and Dreams die hard are all typical Gary Morris solo tracks, similar in style to those on his first hits collection.
br /
br /Although most of Gary's biggest hits are on the first volume, this collection has more variety because of the duets and acoustic tracks. If you enjoy pop-country music of the eighties, don't ignore Gary Morris.

The best country album I've ever heard!, 2001-03-03
I am not a big fan of country music, but I'm a big fan of Gary Morris's voice. Why he isn't a bigger name in the music industry is beyond me. pAnyway, I bought this CD for "Another World", which was the theme song of the wonderful soap opera that is no longer on the air. The duet with Crystal Gayle is here in its entirety and it sounds great. I was quite surprised to fall in love with several other songs on this CD. Gary Morris and Crystal Gayle team up for another pretty, mid-tempo duet, "Making Up For Lost Time". "Why Lady Why" was a great choice to kick off the album, and it has a great beat. "Second Hand Heart" is a ballad I fell in love with the first time I heard it. It's so sweet and tender, you'll fall in love with it too. "You're Welcome To Tonight" is a fine song as well.pThe other songs are all fine, too, except I didn't much care for "Honeycomb". This is one fine CD. Even if you don't like country CD much, this is still a jewel. Give it a listen, I'm sure you'll love it.
