A young aspiring singer named Sterling (Christina Johnson) moves from Mississippi to Los Angeles in pursuit of her long time dream of becoming an RB singer. Arriving in Los Angeles with nothing more than her suitcase and a dream, she is forced to sleep in her car. A chance meeting with an up and coming music producer, Nate (Dylan Mooney), opens the door to real possibilities. Sterling begins work with the producer and befriends his girlfriend Freesia (Yvette Saunders). While her professional life seems to be taking an upswing, so does her personal life in the big city. Sterling begins to date a young handsome RB singer, frequenting industry parties and soon marries. Meanwhile, she strikes a lucrative record deal and is truly realizing her dream. Just weeks later, while working late in the studio with Nate, Sterling finds herself the target of attempted rape. Nate unleashes his pent up desires for Sterling in a violent episode. This experience changes the young aspiring songstress, which causes a spiritual awakening in her that soon inspires her to move toward singing for God.
