    Worthy of the Award, 2008-11-27
Ratatouille was a great movie in my opinion. It follows the story of a Rat living on the outskirts of Paris, France and his desire to become a Chef. Disney and Pixar have a fairly decent tag team going on here, but not every movie they make is good. Back in 2006, they released "Cars", and to me that was a bad movie. Someone told me that with "Cars" Disney and Pixar attempted an overindulgence of humor, which cost it winning the Academy Award that year because no one took it serious. "Happy Feet" won the award that year and it deserves it because of it's deep and emotional story that the message was mainly trying to say that our world is changing and we need to save it for the lives of others. Now to get back on topic, Ratatouille wanted to remove to excessive amount of humor and add more of a story to the mix. It was able to successfully pull this off and still was able to throw in the right amount of humor. It's a fairly long movie to, so you get your moneys worth by watching this. There was a time where I had no desire to see this movie what so ever, but I saw it after many people told me it was pretty good, and I was surprised that I actually enjoyed watching this movie.
