Classic Rock, 2008-01-15
This is a great CD, not all of the songs and artists are who I would have put on this CD. However that is what makes free choice such a precious commodity.

br / I would highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for some of those songs that just do not seem to appear where you are looking for. It is a great trip memory lane for those who grew up with this music.

70's Fan, 2007-10-29
Bought as a gift for a person that loves the softer sounds. I've heard some of it and have been well pleased with the purchase. He plays it in his truck to avoid all the commercials on the radio, which he hates.

Very well thought out compilation, 2007-07-22
I am a fan of most of the Hip-O Gold series compilations and this is one of the best and the best 70s compilation out there. Many compilations try to stick with one record label or use cheaper "live" recordings... this compilations chooses some of the best represtations of some of the best artists of the 70s.
br /
br /This album differs from some of the other Hip-O compilations by not going in cronological order. The reason for this I believe is there were many different styles of music in the 70s and if you go in order this would not flow well. They group all the music by the style of music so you don't have classic rock mixed in with disco.
br /
br /Some people will look at a compilation and notice there favorite artist isn't here. Well the way I look at all compilations is I usually have albums or best ofs already of my favorite artists so it never really bothers me.

Great CD!, 2007-06-15
This is a great CD to listen to. The minute it arrived at my house I couldn't wait to listen to the songs that I most wanted to hear--"Boys Are Back in Town", "Hello It's Me" and "All Right".
br /Todd Rundgren's song kept echoing in my head and I was telling myself not to get it now. But I had to feed into my conscious and get it. And I am enjoying it already.
br /There are songs that I have heard but never knew who sang them. This is a good compilation of songs selected.

HeeBeeGeeBees!, 2007-04-27
All right. Any collection of 70s pop music that doesn't include the Bee Gees is asking for trouble. I wouldn't say steer clear of this particular little collection, but it does tend to make one suspicious.
