    Back 4 More...., 2004-12-31
As so many of the 80's are returning, it was only a matter of time before Duran Duran added on to the long list (eurythmics, simply red, depeche mode, culture club (and the Boy's own projects) talk talk, and even prior to that barry manilow with the 2005 mixes of "Copacabana" via Ralphi Rosario od stewart with the new remixes of "Do ya Think Im Sexy" thanks again to Ralphi Rosario AND Pete Rauhofer, to name a few. But the entire DD CD is great, this first remix is completly pleasing to the ear. It is well worth buying the CD single BUT it comes in SO MANY forms, but for great vocals go for the Peter Presta (apple jaxx)remix, and the hard to find FULL vocal Jason Nevins remix 7:06, and I recently got an unreleased the HOTTEST mix of all on 12" vinly from the crew at ALMIGHTY RECORDS. This version of Sunrise is SO HOT you really can't touch or possibly reach out for it(still unavailable ? future release) just under 8min, so if U are a fan of DD then get this come back single, Simon sounds as great as he did 20 some odd years ago, when the euro invasion took over. Now its the gay and Gay freindly remixers, that are twisting your every day CD versions, into MAJOR CLUB HITS, this has been going on for quite some time however, 20 years ago it was not the "thing to do being out of the closet". Speaking of comebacks, it would be so great if Barry Harris (aka 1/2 of Thunderpuss) would remix one of his OWN originals "I BEG YOUR PARDON/KON KAN" what a hot 2005 that would be but in 1988, it was just good to be "known" and today it's the "cool" thing (to be out or out friendly) So go 4 the DD maxi mixes, there is alot of potential for the fab 5 on this CD, I certianly enjoy it, Hope this is of help. Reach Up For The New Duran Duran!, 2004-11-23
This one is worth pulling down off the shelves. The waiting is over, "Sunrise" is here. Bright, optimistic, upbeat electro-pop from the guys who invented the genre'. Just stick it in your CD Player and let it flow out of your stereo speakers. Go with the groove and turn on the lights. Your favorite band is back and they're as good, or better, than they've ever been. It's okay to come out of the closet and admit you've always been a Duranie. The Sunrise is here, it's a brand new day. Celebrate.

br /The single version here is the strongest mix of this song yet. Of the remixes, the "Cosmic Mix" works best for me. The others, especially the "Tribal Mix", I can take or leave. And is it too much to ask for some of these modern remixes to actually SOUND like the original song? "Know It All" is a curious studio creation that sounds like Nick and Simon messing around with a voice snythesizer at 3:00 AM. Still, it's a fun track.
