Love this movie! If you love like Ben Stiller Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn this is a must have to add to your collection.

Like An Upgrade From The Series , 2008-11-21
This movie of STARSKY HUTCH is awesome and funny and even better than the STARSKY HUTCH TV show with David Soul(Ken Huthinson) and Paul Michael-Glaser(Dave Starsky) that ran on ABC for 4 years from 1975-1979, since the movie with Ben Stiller(Starsky) and Owen Wilson(Hutch) has more action and more drama in it and explaining the true story behind Starsky Hutch's partnership and relationship and how they met and got started before they became partners along with the fact that Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller do an astonishing job at playing STARSKY HUTCH. br / br /This movie was also a lot funnier than the TV series was and I loved this movie even though I was never a very big STARSKY HUTCH fan when it was on ABC back in the 1970's, even though it was a very popular police drama back then when David Soul was a sex symbol and a teen idol, since he became well-known for his big hit love song "Don't Give Up". br / br /Additionally, this movie also made and formatted everything to look exactly like things did back in the 1970's, including cars, hairstyles, clothing, music, disco, etc., plus they played a lot of popular oldies from the 70's like "Use Me" by Bill Withers, "Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightengale, "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters, "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, "That's The Way I Like It" by KC The Sunshine Band, "Afternoon Delight" by , etc. br / br /I also found it interesting when they showed the new Starsky Hutch(Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson) come face to face with the old Starsky Hutch(Paul -Michael Glaser, David Soul) at the end of the movie when Paul-Michael Glaser gives the keys to the red Ford Gran Torino to Ben Stiller that they always used on both the movie and the series too.

Starsky Hutch For A New Generation!!!, 2008-09-09
If you have seen the original series in the 70's, you may or may not like this version. Because it's more funny, and they get Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughan, Will Ferrell, Amy Smart, Carmen Electra and Snoop Dogg to be in it. So they wanted people that young adults and teenagers would like. Pretty much everyone from 'Old School' is in it. It's still very funny. It even has cameos from the original Starsky and Hutch! If you love comedy, and the original series, maybe you'll love STARSKY HUTCH!!!

Ben Stiller, Disco King! Hilarious movie with great action., 2008-07-18
This is one of those rare comedies that makes me laugh pretty much uncontrollably. "Starsky and Hutch" is well written and directed with a stellar cast including Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the title roles and featuring Vince Vaughan, Jason Bateman, Carmen Electra and a hilarious performance from the great Fred Williamson as the police captain. Some examples of the hilarity: Starsky and Hutch's captain (Williamson) regularly calls the boys on the carpet using hilarious profanity over their misguided efforts at law enforcement. Starsky tries to convince a suspect to confess using a fake game of Russian roulette. What Starsky doesn't know is that there's really a bullet in the gun (and the suspect speaks Korean and can't warn him). Starsky and Hutch go to arrest a suspect not realizing that his kid is a knife-throwing martial artist - the kid's dad keeps yelling to the kid in Korean "throw more knives." And perhaps the most hilarious of all: a disco dance off between Starsky and some overweight king of "Saturday Night Fever". Starsky is high on cocaine, which he thought was sweetener and poured into his coffee. There's much, much more. The 70's setting and music are terrific. The stunt driving and other action is great. I was never a real fan of the series, but I loved this take-off. And yes, the original Starsky and Hutch have a cameo. Oh, and Snoop Dogg is perfect as Huggy Bear. The extras include a fashion show by Snoop, explaining the 70's pimpwear worn by Huggy. Highly recommended.
