Really a great movie for kids, 2008-12-12
This Disney flick is not animated. It uses believable special effects for the 70s, back when I was a kid. Very funny and cute. I'm buying this on DVD because my daughter loved it when I borrowed it from the library on VHS. br / br /The cat behaves and sounds like a 30 year old man. He's a space explorer like the crew from Star Trek. Ironically, he makes a man out of the spineless earthling he meets while trying to get home. This movie probably inspired E.T. and stars the actor who played Colonel Potter on M.A.S.H. br /

Wrong Cat? But Cute., 2008-09-29
This movie is cute, but I wasn't entirely satisfied as it isn't the movie I thought I was getting. Instead of black and white, this movie is in color. The movie is filled with quirky one-liners and good old-fashioned shoddy acting, so it is still worth the money for anyone fond of older movies, or something kids would love. br / br /Also, clocking in at almost two hours, it's a little too long.

Terrific Cat Movie, 2008-08-17
A space traveler is stranded on Earth and needs to repair his ship. He befriends a scientist (Ken Berry). The space traveler looks like a cat and he talks by mental telepathy. He is named Jake by the scientist and together they try to get the parts to repair the ship, ending up in a pool hall and on a crazy bi-plane ride, among other things, being pursued all the while by army officers and a bumbling double agent. br / br /This is a typical Walt Disney romp, complete with chases, crazy disasters, unbelievable situations, cute animals and romance. But the cat steals the show. A beautiful Abyssinian cat named Zak is the star of this movie. His supporting cast includes Ken Berry, Sandy Duncan, Harry Morgan, MacLean Stevenson Roddy McDowall and a beautiful white Persian cat. br / br /I would recommend it for kids, but I love it too. It has a special meaning for me because I had an Abyssinian cat, and it reminds me of him whenever I see this film. It's worth it just to see the cats!

A wonderful blast from the past, 2008-07-02
my dad took me to see this movie when I was a kid and I'd never forgotten about it. So eventually I decided to buy it from Amazon and relive my past happy memory. It's dated, but has never lost it's magic.

Good movie for all ages, 2008-06-21
I remember watching this movie when I was younger and enjoying it. When I came across it here, I figured I should get the dvd version. I now play it at work for our clients to watch. Seems fitting for a vet clinic.
