Editorial Review from Album Description:
The last album Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett made together, this 1972 release boasted the usual superstar cast - Eric Clapton, Dave Mason, Billy Preston, Tina Turner, Steve Cropper, Leon Russell - and such highlights as the hit 'Only You Know and I Know', 'Groupie' (which the Carpenters made into a hit as Superstar), 'Wade in the River of Jordan', and 'Comin' Home'. This remastered 2003 reissue includes six bonus tracks from the Bramletts' solo LPs, 'Over And Over', 'I'm Not Your Lover, Just Your Lovee', 'Good Vibrations', 'Are You A Beatle Or A Rolling Stone', '(You Don't Know) How Glad I Am' 'California Rain' plus notes and unpublished photos - a key roots-rock release from the early '70s! Columbia.

Delanie and Bonnie's Greatest Hits, 2008-09-03
This is a fine collection of their hits, BUT, make no mistake about it, D B On Tour With Eric Clapton Friends is the classic and by far their best. I guess it had to be when you have George Harrison and Dave Mason playing along with "EC" on guitars and Leon Russell on the ivory (as well as acting music director) how could it be equalled?

br /The rest of the entourage is pretty much the same gang that Leon assembled for Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

br /Bonnie has reemerged in this decade with I'm Still the Same (Audium, 2002) Pennies from Heaven (Zoho, 2005) Roots, Blues Jazz (Zoho, 2005). I own all of these CDs. I enjoy each disc, but I'm most struck by a song from "I'm Still The Same." She gives her wrenching, intimate revival of "Superstar," sweetened by Mickey Raphael's haunting harmonica fills, will induce chills, whether you remember the '70s or not. "Superstar" initially was entitled "Groupie", penned by Bonnie and Leon Russell, but recorded by the Carpenters before Bonnie could put it on wax).
