A Bold Concept, 2003-03-16
In this corporate dominated media environment it is refreshing to see an alternative approach to TV.This is a smart collection of material from some very talented artists. I especially like the excerpt from the Maysles Brothers "Running Fence" as well as the powerful film from Ayoka Chenzira.The profile of Sandman Sims was also a standout.brThe music performance pieces were beautifully shot and edited...not the expected"run and gun bad video from the local club" genre so often seen nowadays.brA great idea are the local NY joints featured,,,especially Schimmels...quite charming and made me yearn for a knish.brA loud shot for the independent movement!!
