King's X's Ty Tabor- A Different slice of Rock., 2008-06-12
Recently picked up this CD in trying to complete my King's X side projects CD's. Without Dug's bass- less funky but still great melodic rock with excellent guitar work by Ty. Actually 4.5 stars.

Is there no end to the genius that is TY TABOR ?????, 2007-11-13
After the brilliance that is KING'S X, I have bought everything else that features TY TABOR and have not been dissapointed by any of his other projects. The man is truely a HOOK MONSTER. This cd is just about the perfect POP / ROCK cd. Every song is an earworm that won't leave you alone. Every song could have conceivably been a number 1 hit. I have no idea why this SUPERGROUP didn't hit the big time. Add the incredible virtuosity of GREGG BISSONETTE and DEREK SHERINIAN to the mix and you have one of the most intelligent and infectuous releases I have ever heard. If you can appreciate brilliant songwriting and superb playing, you need to own this CD. It gets better with every listen and I can't stop playing it. THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!

This is not a masterpiece but..., 2005-01-19
it is much better than any of King's X's studio efforts since joining Metal Blade. There are some stellar tracks here. For instance, both 'Flowers' and 'C'Mon' are very catchy pop-hard rock songs that might have seen much airplay if released 20 years ago. This is worth a look if you like both old KX and the Foo Fighters. I disagree with the other reviewer's comparison to Belew and The Bears; Car Caught Fire is much better than this.

big disappointment, 2003-05-19
have all the kings x, ty tabor solo, platypus, poundhound stuff, and have kings x 10+ times. this is by far the biggest disappointment and the money would have been better spent on the new one black like sunday (heard a few new tracks live at their most recent show and the tunes were great!). gave this cd away to a friend who thought it was ok.

Yes, another positive review, 2003-02-14
This CD is a highly-repeatedly-listenable recording. By that, I mean it's fun, catchy, mostly fast-paced, and doesn't get old fast. Catchy, but not "gets-stuck-in-your-head-and-drives-you-insane" catchy (a good thing). It's got great vocals by M. Bissonette and T. Tabor, and some fast and furious guitar rhythm parts. I couldn't hear much of a keyboard presence here, but when I did, it was tasteful and appropriate and added nice flavor to the song, too. This CD is great for the lover of positive, flat-out rock-n-roll. The mood is mostly FUN on this one. Buying this one's a no-brainer. You definitely won't regret it.
