**** Nice title, 2008-07-27
The title of this album reminds me of what I like so much about the Wildhearts. They can be silly and fun and that is the kind of music that keeps me interested in a band. Party rock!! Even when the band shows their serious side they are still more fun than ther others.

***** In a perfect world this WOULD be seen as one of the Classics..., 2008-04-08
...pretty much says it all. br / br /It's heavy, gentle, smart, loopy, psychedelic, poppy, crunchy, loud, beautiful etc. etc. br / br /An all too well kept secret of a 'Classic' Album. br / br /Buy it, seriously.

***** Punkish but poppish production, 2004-07-06
In Japan P.H.U.Q means "OMANKO".You know that special term ,if you have lived in Japan for many years. But in this album ,you can't omanko ,all you have to do is shake your empty heads instead. This band is well respected in Japan by many "YANKEE"(nasty boys) boys. That is why these guys are loved by so many punk fans here. They have good melodies based on the punkish sound STRAIHT ROCK'N ROLL.This is the good example of the poppish punk that has plenty of aggressive attitude.Do buy this CD now!

***** Phuqin genius, 2003-11-03
from start to finish, this album oozes with riff after riff and glorious melodies that are executed in typical wildhearts fashion. p.h.u.q. to me is like a highly successful experiment, blending perfectly fast paced, heavy songs of carnage with some of the best sing along pop pieces that the wildhearts have ever achieved. the album seems to roll from track to track with a justified arogance.it seems that there is a strong love and drugs theme that runs through the whole album. there isnt a bad song on this album, making it a truly enjoyable classic.brafter listening you may wonder as i did, why the wildhearts have not been acknowledged as one of the greatsest british bands of our time.

***** Classic, as always., 2002-08-31
The Wildhearts took a slightly more progressive and intriguing approach to this album compared to the outstanding 'Earth vs The Wildhearts' set, although they still retained their signature rock n roll, drug addled sound and style.brConsidering this album was recorded amidst much internal strife and even line up changes, its quality is nothing short of miraculous. Ginger is surely one of the most consistent songwriters alive today.brWhere songs like 'In Lilly's garden' and 'Be My Drug' take a more mellow and melodic approach, which is very welcome as it introduces some real diversity and showcases talent, ultra-catchy numbers such as 'I wanna go where the people go', surely one of the strongest singles ever released, balance out the recording and ensure hardcore fans will be jumping for joy.brElsewhere, the trademark Wildhearts massive riffs come into play ('Just in lust', 'Nita Nitro', 'Caprice'), while some songs, like 'Naivety Play' (excellent title) or 'Getting it' introduce a kind of rabid, anthmeic intensity which is very compelling.brIn short, this is just what one would expect of such a quality band: a consistent, well written, recorded and produced classic which any self-respecting rock n roll fan should own.
