Great Gift for an Aspiring Yodeler, 2009-06-22
My friend Loretta is a music educator, so quite knowledgeable about various genres and styles. At some point, she actually had expressed an interest in yodeling, and she would attempt short phrases of it now and again. So, months later, as I tried to think of something to buy for her birthday, it occured to me: br /a how-to-yodel product. br / br /I have zero connection to yodeling, except familiarity with the "Lonely Goat-herd" song from The Sound of Music, so it was really a stab in the dark. I looked at several items on amazon, and ended up choosing this one. It has both Swiss and cowboy types of yodeling (some other CDs only had one type). Anyway, she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. I apologized to her family, but actually they enjoy seeing her have such fun. br / br /So I haven't listened to it myself (not a fan), but because Loretta has a jillion CDs, multiple iPods, and decades of music-teaching experience and expertise, she seems qualified to assess not only the musical quality but also the instructional value of this product. She can be a tough critic, but she has been all positive, so I'm giving it the full five stars.

Clear instruction made fun!, 2007-08-24
Well organized, well-paced progressive lessons, fun format. br / br /I can't believe I'm already sounding so good! br / br /What more to say? If you're even thinking about yodeling, get THIS CD.

definitely worth the money, 2007-08-14
I have spent many hours driving down the Montana highways yodeling along with this CD. K. Christensen starts with the simplest of exercises and works towards the more complex. While alpine yodeling is not my final destination (I'm an old-timey kind of guy), these exercises are worth my time and effort. It's a hoot and well worth the money. Practice, practice, practice!

Having fun with U2Can Yodel, 2007-08-11
I've really enjoyed this CD- the only thing that could have made it better is if the artist had made a CD in falsetto only or tenor only instead of combining the two on one CD.

Great lesson and entertaining!, 2007-05-12
I 've always wanted to learn to yodel, especially in the cowboy style. This CD is perfect. It's very informative and well done. I highly recommend it!
