Hood Classic!!!!!, 2008-08-18
This book was excellent. After reading this book twice years ago, It is still one of my top two. I am really looking forward to the sequel due sometime this year. It will be hard to top this one but I am looking forward to seeing if Nettie has changed after all these years. I will pre-order as soon as it is available. This book must be apart of your collection. Keep up the good work Shannon.

THIS BOOK IS NOWHERE CLOSE TO BEING BETTER THAN THE COLDEST WINTER EVER. B MORE CAREFUL HAS TOO MUCH GOING ON AT ONE TIME THE PLOT CHANGES TOO MUCH. THERE ARE TOO MANY CHARACTERS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAIN CHARACTERS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IT IS A WASTE OF $ IF YOU REALLY WANT TO READ IT JUST BORROW IT (THAT MAY BE A WASTE OF TIME TOO). IT TOOK ME A MONTH TO READ THIS BOOK WHEN IT USUALLY TAKES ME ONE TO THREE DAYS.

I READ THIS BOOK YEARS AGO, BUT DIDN'T HAVE IT IN MY COLLECTION SO WHEN I PURCHASED IT I READ IT AGAIN. I ALMOST FORGOT HOW GREAT THIS BOOK WAS!! A GREAT READ!!

THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR, 2008-05-16
What would you do for the almighty dollar? Well for Netta and the other member of her clique, "P*ssy Pound" they used their beauty and bodies to get cash, cars, and other means of luxuries. Netta thought she had mastered the game of hustling the hustlers, until the day she meets Black. Black is a hustler who falls in love with her, but she only loves him for one thing and one thing only. She may just need to B-More Careful dealing with him and the games she's playing because it may just cost her the ultimate price, her life. br /Shannon Holmes in my opinion started this novel off slow by introducing every character and how their lives intertwined with Netta's. I almost put it down, because at first it seemed like your typical sex, drugs, and money novel. I am so glad that I did not. After a full description of each character's past and how their lives intertwined. This novel climaxed at such a fast pace, grew with intensity and had the suspense that I could not put it down. The ending was so intense. br /So from the outside looking in, if you liked the movie "Crash" with its unpredictable directions then you will love this ground breaking throwback novel that made waves when street literature was getting put on the map. br /Reviewed by THE OUTSIDER br /The Realest Reviewers br /
